We're working to substantially decarbonize power portfolios.

ENE has worked with our customers to substantially decarbonize their power portfolios since the late 2000’s. Our aggregated transactions are bringing 215 MW and nearly 1 million MWH per year of clean energy to 17 municipal utility customers, and in the next 3 years will bring an additional 142 MW and another 386,000 MWH per year of energy to 19 customers.

Our Massachusetts-based customers are subject to a regulatory mandate to achieve 50% non-emitting energy by 2030, 75% by 2040, and 100% (net zero) by 2050. Many of these customers have already met the 2030 requirement, having begun work toward these goals well before the mandate was established. These efforts started with a run-of-river hydro project and expanded to include several onshore wind projects, utility-scale solar, and the use of nuclear energy to help balance the intermittency of other non-emitting resources.
