Michael Lazorchak Joins ENE as Manager of Regulatory & Market Affairs

Mansfield, MA, June 24, 2025 – Energy New England (ENE) is pleased to announce that Michael Lazorchak joined the organization as Manager of Regulatory & Market Affairs on June 1, 2026. Before coming to ENE, Michael served for six years as Manager of Regulatory and Legal Affairs for the Town of Stowe Electric Department in Vermont. In that position, he represented Stowe before the Vermont Public Utility Commission and other administrative agencies, advised the utility’s General Manager on legal, risk, and policy matters, and led initiatives involving the repowering of the Smith’s Falls Hydroelectric Project, beneficial electrification, net metering, right-of-way programs, collaboration with Efficiency Vermont, and research and development technical assistance projects with Department of Energy laboratories.

At ENE, Michael covers ISO New England and NEPOOL committee meetings and reports on developments that may affect ENE and its customers. He also helps identify market rule changes early, develops strategies to advance ENE’s interests, and supports the organization and its customers on important issues across the New England market.

Michael is licensed to practice law in New York and Vermont. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Policy from Union College, along with a Juris Doctor and a Master’s degree in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School.
