Energy Saving Rebates & Programs
No-Cost Home Energy Assessments
ENE’s Energy Advisor conducts an in-person or virtual walk-through of your home, inputting information into our energy-efficiency software to create a report for you that analyzes your home’s energy usage, identifies home improvement projects that can lower your energy costs, and links to GMED’s rebates and incentives.

Rebate Eligibility Requirements
- Rebate program is for residential electric accounts only. Commercial accounts aren’t eligible to participate.
- Groveland Municipal Light Department (GMLD) will determine your electric account’s eligibility to participate in the program.
- An active residential electric account with GMLD for at least 6 months.
- Electric account must be in good standing: no arrears for the past 6 months (current month’s charges are okay).
- Rebate item must be installed at account location.
- Resident must agree to allow GMLD to inspect the installation on premises.
- Rebate maximums reset on Jan. 1.
- Offer is subject to funding availability and can expire at any time.

Energy Star® Appliance Rebates
GMLD is pleased to offer rebates to customers purchasing ENERGY STAR-rated appliances. ENERGY STAR-rated products are significantly more energy-efficient than the average comparable model.

- $200 maximum in appliance rebates per residential account per year (exception for the hybrid water heater).

Electric Vehicle Rebates
Save money. Save time. Save carbon. Now is the time to switch from gasoline to electricity. Plug-in electric cars are fast, fun, affordable, and efficient. Compared to gasoline vehicles, electric vehicles (EVs) are less costly to operate and maintenance is cheaper and simpler. Residents in GMLD’s territory are encouraged to test drive and experience the speed and power of EVs first hand.

- One EV Charger rebate per household per year
- Work can be completed by a contractor or self-installed. Self-installed labor costs aren’t eligible for rebate.
- Appliances included in a home purchase are not eligible for rebates.

- Purchase date must be within the current calendar year; purchases made between December 1-December 31 can be submitted up to January 31 of the following calendar year.

Air Source Heat Pump Rebates
A home energy assessment is required prior to applying for a GMLD air-source heat pump rebate. Sign up online or call Energy New England (ENE) at 888‐772‐4242 to schedule. Your assessment will provide a list of energy-saving recommendations.

Weatherization: Air Sealing & Insulation
